Thank you to everyone near and far who helped make magic happen at The Bay School! With the overwhelming generosity of our community, we exceeded our Playground Project fundraising goal and raised over $35,000 through our Crowdrise campaign. With the money raised, we were able to complete our project! Our students and staff were excited to come back from break and see the transformation!
It was a very wet winter here in Santa Cruz, California, and without the new playground surface, the outside area would not have been usable for weeks at a time due to deep standing water. Instead, rain or shine, students can swing and play. A fun bonus is that the surface material has a little bit of bounce, so it’s fun to walk on, a little bit like walking on the moon perhaps!
